Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

oNe wEeK hAs pAssEd...

Argh!!... I've been sick for almost a week. It started out with a really bad sore throat. Now, I am having a perfectly horrible combination of a still-very-sore throat, a flu, and a cough that don't seem to recover or stop, for that matter.
People around me this week might have thought I was suffering from some last stage pneumonia. The cough just wouldn't stop, much that I don't want to disturb people around me with this persistent noise pollution and germ spreading. On the train, in the lecture theatre... Whenever there is a change in environment (especially air-conditioned), the coughing would start. Sometimes I tried to control it, but it's just impossible. Just makes my lungs feel like they were about to explode.

Yep. It's almost a week. Which also means that school has begun for a week. Except for the sudden SHARP rise in stress level compared to the last 2.5 years in university (this semester's modules are really tough. Though it is only the 4th day of school, I can already feel myself panic), many things are pretty much the same.

The school canteen is still overcrowded. Did anyone tell the campus facilitators that additional fans, lights and rubbish bins decorated to look mcDonald's-style or like flower bays (whichever was intended) would NOT help in making the canteen more spacious? Surely these would not help to accomodate the ever-increasing student population (with the increase in schools and course on campus)?

I've discovered a very nice website:
www.flickr.com It is a site with tons of beautiful pictures taken by people all over the world. The picture below is taken from the site. Can you feel the serenity that makes up this picture? It's simply amazing how the photographer was able to capture this moment.
