Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Phenomenal Intellect

It's none other than "the legendary absent-minded professor", Albert Einstein (as quoted in the biography of Albert Einstein by Ronald W. Clark). It's funny how he, all of the sudden, became a man of my interest.. haha. I bought 2 books on him, namely:
1. The World As I See It (Albert Einstein)
2. Einstein -- The Life and Times (Ronald W.Clark)
It all started when I learnt, through a DVD shown during my Astronomy class last semester, that during Einstein's last years, even at his deathbed, he was frantically trying to come up with a universal equation that could explain EVERYTHING in the universe. It could even explain what triggered the universe's first formation.
The thought that struck me was that this man was really beyond his time. People of his time, even most people now, could not fathom his idea, but it really was an idea that only the greatest minds could come up with (FYI: Many scientists are continuing the work that Einstein could not complete. They've come up, and are still working, with an intricate theory called "string theory"). Some people even said that it seemed like Einstein wanted to know what God was thinking when he created the universe.
One of the many reasons for my growing interest in Einstein was his ability to balance his belief in both Science and God. People were always saying that science and religion cannot coexist, but it just was not the case for this man (something that I really want to learn). Such conviction in the things he do is what makes me want to know more about him... and hence the craze for Einstein-related books.... haha!

Anyway, just came home from a dinner with Ying Ying. Had Ajisen Ramen at Funan... yummy... hee!
Oh! Will be watching Over the Hedge with the Navs next Wed. Yay! They wanted to watch "The Da Vinci's Code" initially, but it seemed like ratings for the show weren't that terrific. Yea, it's tough to bring a story with such deep plot into the theatre...
Hmm... Was surfing the net for info on "Over the Hedge". Just realised that it originated from a comic strip! ooOO..

Did something stupid at work today. I was supposed to compile a list of condominiums in Singapore. The data extracted from the program that I used could not be compiled into a list (or so I thought). So I happily tried to type thousands of pages of data into the Excel spreadsheet. =P
Then my colleague Wilson came along and showed me a shorter way... The data that I tried to type the whole morning, he got them into a list with just a couple of clicks on the mouse...haha... so embarassing...
But there're still some problems... sigh... must think of a way to solve them tomorrow... =S
