Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

sad~

Sad... Made a blunder at work today.. Yesterday, my boss told me to make a hotel reservation for his guests who were arriving Singapore this afternoon. Not knowing when they will be arriving, I booked a room at Strand Hotel for 12 noon.. However, I realised only today that their flight was to reach Singapore only at around 4pm.. And since this is my first time booking a hotel, I didn't know that I have to inform the hotel about the late arrival...
So when I called the hotel at 4.30, the receptionist said that the room has been given up to other guests... But really thank God that there was still a vacant room (according to the receptionist, it was the last). And thank God that I felt the need to make a call before my boss and his guests arrived at the hotel... Phew..

The receptionist kind of reprimanded me for not informing the hotel staff earlier of the late arrival. Even though I told him that the intended occupants were already at the airport, he still said that if they did not arrive the hotel before 5pm, he was going to give up their room again, to other guests (I think he realised that it was going to be 5 in about 15 minutes time, he changed it to 6pm). But I really wasn't sure when my boss would reach the hotel, (who knows if he decides to bring his guests for some tour around Singapore before letting them check into the hotel) so I insisted that he kept the room for us for the rest of today... Guess my attitude was quite bad huh... Maybe it really was my attitude that led to the tele-conversation becoming kind of tense. Really regret it now.. Regretted that I tried to argue my way through the situation... And yea.. I know it's my fault that things turned out this way.

Hope everything went well during check-in just now... I'll just have to see my boss's mood tomorrow and we'll know... *gulp*...
