The working day right after a long weekend is never the right day for working. When you are coughing yourself awake like nobody's business the whole night and still have to drag yourself to work early in the morning makes working a whole lot tougher.
There's lot's of things I want to rant about work but none of which can be written here. Let's just say working's tough. Things don't turn out the way we expect them to be. Schedules can almost NEVER be met because of a build up of tons of tiny reasons contributed by everyone involved. Designs can never go the way you want because you need to give in to everyone's requests even if it meant compromising on your ideals. Haiz~*
Design review's next Monday afternoon... I'm trying real hard not to think about it. Presentation skills and public speaking aren't exactly found and will never find a way into any slot of my TOP 100 STRENGTHS list. Just hoping the day will come and go as quickly as how my weekends seem to fly by every week. I could almost see what would happen for the few months following the design review. November will be super busy as I prepare for the fabrication of my design. Then comes December, which will be as busy as, if not busier than November as fabrication continues. Amidst the craziness, I will go for my lloooonngggg awaited 1 week break when I start to clear my annual leave accumulated from year 2007. Heeeeeeeeeeeee.......~~** When I'm back it would be Christmas and then New Years' Day, and then it would be 2009!! On top of that, my first real huge product as a structure engineer would be almost almost almost almost........ be completed~ (nah... probably still a long way to completion, but at least the main structure would be there.) I'm kind of looking forward to the day when my design and all my sweat and blood (??? from the vommitting of blood when things never seem to go right) kind of merge and solidify into a visible, useful and workable product... ~~~~~~*daydreaming*
Oh haha.. had a really fun time at dinner just now. My brother and I were disturbing Debbie about another of her baby tooth that is about to fall off. When it does, she will be toothless at her two front teeth.. haha.. how cute... And then my brother managed to whip out two more super lame jokes from his bottomless pocket of crappiness. All the joking and chatting with my parents around make the dinner so much more heartwarming. Dinner with so many people around are hard to come by when we grow up. Everyone has become increasingly busy with their work and their own activities, making it so difficult just to have a simple meal together as a family.
ooOOoo... the drowsy syndrome is coming..... the effect of the cough syrup is kicking in..... Think I'm goin' to KO very soon~~ But it's only 8.55pm........... ...... ... ... .. zzzzzZZZZZZ
