Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Soaked in Alcohol~ (o_O)

Yeap.. I ended up attending dear dear's friends' birthday gathering last night after 3 weeks of intense deliberation. It was held at some place (think the place's 'Wine Network') up on Dempsey Road. The ambience is good. Quite like the place, with it's dim candlelit, open-air, woody tables and chairs atmosphere. They even have the 880 bucks garden swings there. I would really like to return to the place IF it wasn't so high up on a hill.. hahaha.. It was kind of a alcoholly gathering. The group ordered sooo much alchohol in all sorts of forms. Never had so much before (don't really know how to appreciate alcohol)... I started with a green apple martini (the only one I really enjoyed 'cos its fruity.. hee), had a few sips of dear dear's Hoegaarden (he LovEs the BIG glass that came along with it..), then a few sips of his Stella Artois, a few sips of his Beamish Irish Stout, a few sips of some New Zealand white wine (yucky..), a few more sips of some New Zealand red wine (yucky..), a glass of some New Zealand champagne (not too bad.. it's pink too.. hee) and then a limey harmless shot of lime-juice-alcohol-wannabe (?) You can imagine how much more the rest drank. Lucky no one got drunk. I saw an Ang Moh so drunk he was practically dragged out by his companions.

The gathering was hmmm... a new experience, I would say. Felt kind of out of place, since everyone knows everyone else there for like many many years. Witnessed dear dear's friends' capability of lateness that he was always commenting about... (they really outdid themselves) There was even a girl who recognised me as her netball team senior in TJC. But apologetically, I can't remember... Ooppss. I would say they are a group of friendly, funny people. But I guess it would take very long for me to get used to such gatherings. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself because dear dear was there with me.. We spent some quiet time on the 880 bucks swing, and it was really nice to see dear dear so happy and having so much fun with his friends and all.. =)

Btw, I have only 2 words to describe the movie 'Burn After Reading'.. Super lame....... =S Hahaha...
