Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Changeling

I'm just back from jogging. The weather's really good to be at the beach with the lovely sun giving the orange glow and the breeze keeping the temperature really cool, but erm... I didn't make it there.. I could have. I was only about 400m away from beach-touchdown. But I was worried I may not have enough energy for the return trip back home.. hahaha

Watched the movie Changeling last evening. Great movie!!!! The film is set in late 1920-s to early 1930-s about a mother, Christine Collins (starred by Angelina Jolie.. she did a really awesome job in this film) whose son Walter Collins was kidnapped. She sought the help of then incompetent LAPD to look for her beloved son. The LAPD instead shoved her a kid and claimed it was hers in order to show to the public that they have done their part to 'protect' every citizen of Los Angeles. And of course, a mother would recognise that the kid wasn't hers and demanded for the police to continue to search for Walter. But we have to understand that it was the 1930s and women were treated by men specifically, apparently, those in the higher authorities of the police department to be dumb, illogical, and 'empty upstairs' (as quoted in the show), hence were not given proper rights and attention (come to think of it, it's sad, but it is still the case in alot of places and in alot of situations now, be it minor or major issues). But hey! Ain't the illogical ones here those who thought they knew what they are doing? And what sort of dumb plan was that when it could be foiled by mere interview of all those who know the Mother and Son? I was absolutely furious when I was watching the show... 真想打人.. There were lotsa unfairness and injustice suffered by Chirstine Collins and how she fought her way to make sure she gets to the truth and get her son back. And what makes it so infuriating was because this was a true story.. There was kind of a twist in the story that wasn't revealed in the synopsis, on what actually happened to the real son and it was sick. Anyway, to know, you'll have ta watch. =) The show was so touching I cried....sniff.... =_(

Debbie's having a birthday party at her place later in the afternoon. Happy Birthday BeBe!!!!
