On the first night of the stay the family left her alone in the hospital after visiting hours only to be called back an hour later by the nurses because my grandmother started fighting with 3 nurses. And probably won? haha. She could not register that she was in the hospital and got upset when she doesn't see familiar faces... So each lady in the family (ward doesn't allow male visitors late at night) took turns for the subsequent nights to stay with her.
Saturday, my brother, my cousin Wendy and dear dear stayed over. Of course, the guys stayed at the lounge. Tuesday I was there alone and on both nights I couldn't sleep the tiniest bit because I was worried that my grandmother would awake without me knowing~ The worst thing was that I only took half a day's leave from work on Wednesday morning thinking I shouldn't miss an important discussion in the afternoon that I scheduled. BUT the discussion was postponed to Thursday!!!! Argh! For the rest of Wednesday, I was like a walking zombie, cruising around the office, a few small steps from sleepwalking/sleepworking or simply fainting on the spot.
Well, alls well for now, because amazingly during the stay at the hospital, my grandmother's condition improved. Not that her underlying illness got better, but for some unknown reasons she was back to being her usual self. After completing all her scans and checkup, we took her home. Afterall It would be better for her to be in an environment that is familiar to her.
Met up with the TJC gang last night to celebrate cynthia's birthday... well not so much of celebrating as we are kind of over with the birthday cake cutting and candle blowing thing. Just felt like a normal dinner gathering. Had dinner at Shoduko @ Raffles City. This is the second time I've been there. The first time was with dear dear shortly after its opening and I don't remember seeing such a LARGE crowd. I had only a cheese and ham omelete, 4 pieces of sushi plus a canned drink and it costs me 20+ bucks. Haha.. it's really expensive.. But I think I like the omelete alot alot alot alot... heeeeee =) After dinner we went to Harry's Bar @ CHIJMES. Me had a yummy sludgy icy mango Margarita. The setting of the outdoor area was quite pretty and nice, but because of the crowd and din coming from the patrons and LE BAROQUE's distasteful songs, it dampens the plus points of the place. Throughout the evening, the group were chatting non-stop on nothing but a series of no-link and totally nonsensical topics. Haha.. but had some really good laughs though.. One of the better gatherings I had with the gang since a long long time...
It's valentine's day today! Looking forward to meeting up with dear dear.. =) Realised that it had been quite some time since we had a proper date together, because of all the stuff going on at home. =S
