Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Long-awaited Long Weekend~~ (^ ^)

I thought I would suffer from a more serious case of long-weekend-withdrawal-sydrome, as dear put it this morning. I thought it would be so much worse because of a scheduled super-early-Monday-morning-meeting (8.30am to be exact) welcoming my day/week. It turned out I was too busy that time practically flew by. And that's Monday for me.

Weekend was too great. Nothing really special in particular, except I was back in dear's kitchen for challenge #4.

Challenge #1 was some meatball tomato soup with pasta. #2 was some no-need-to-chew-mee-sua that dear said tasted delicious. I actually still doubt his words, 'cos my mummy always said the food I cooked, especially instant noodles are too 'nua' for her liking. So 'nua' she doesn't even dare to eat... =( Bleah.. haha.. Anyway #3 was cabonara that even dear's mummy said tasted good..muahahaha!!! *beaming*

#4 on Saturday was lasagne. The idea came when my brother mentioned he was about to try to whip up some baked rice and lasagne. I've never tried it before but well, it turned out to be quite a success! *more beaming*

Ta-da! the delicious product! *beam*

Enjoying the fruits of hard labour *beam*

We went again, for supermarket shopping, this time at carrefour (twice. Once at Suntec, another at Dhoby Ghaut). I don't think we'll ever get sick of it.. Went also to watch the movie 'Knowing'. It's quite a thriller for most of the show and I felt that it was actually quite good. It's not exactly an a spacey-alieney kind of show. The scriptwriter blended in Christian beliefs into the film subtle-ly in the extraterrestial kind of way. Well to me, it's about prophets (the Lord's chosen ones), angels (that looked like extraterrestrial beings), Noah's ark (that looked like a spaceship), and God's wrath upon the earth for all the sins and atrocities that Man have committed. None of the above were mentioned in the movie, but if anyone has just some knowledge of Christianity, they will be able to get the true meaning behind the show.
