Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Loongggg Weekend!

Woah! This weekend was packed with activities! So tiring, yet I had a great deal of fun... Darling and I wenta the Japanese supermarket at Liang Court for dinner Thursday night.. The dinner was so-so, but the highlight was the supermarket browsing after that. The place was filled with tons of Japanese imported stuff, all of them packaged so beautifully you'd want to buy them all.. Darling couldn't help but buy a short and fat, and a small and tiny Asahi Sapporo canned beer to add to his collection. I couldn't help but get a couple of these, without even seeing the price (hee hee):

We went to Sentosa's Tanjong beach the following day. The beach was chosen because of it's quietness and smaller crowd compared to Siloso and Palawan beach. The weather was so good. Had a really good time lying on the beach and playing in the sea, enjoying the sky, the clouds, the sun and the water =). Most of all, there were so many dog-owners who brought their pet along. They were free to run along the beaches, swim in the waters... Awww.. I want a dog too...
Oh! And we watched the sun set too. This was my first time seeing a sun set right in front of me. The weather was good, so it was very clear. But I thought it would be slower. Instead, within a minute or two, the sun dips below the horizon and was gone.. It was an amazing sight. This really shows that the earth is spinning at a really fast pace.

Some pictures from that day:

My family had a BBQ last night at my uncle's place. Had loads of yummy food, wine, drinks, vodka, charcoal and fun.. haha... Had a good chat with my Dad too.. Listening to him talk about engineering stuff and issues he faced in his previous jobs, that I am going through now, I realised we have alot in common. Things that I don't understand what he meant in the past, I do now. Things that I thought my family wouldn't understand, especially my mum and siblings, because they are not trained in the same field, my dad understands... I've also realised it had been a really long time since I last had a really good and in depth chat with my dad. =)
