Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Hong Kong Trip 2009

I'm back from a super amazing and wonderful trip ,from Hong Kong! The four days were like a dream (copyrighted by dear - since he insisted). Though short, we had such a great experience over there. Dear kept speaking like a Hong Kong-er, and I kept imitating the broadcast on the MTR. We did almost our life-time's worth of walking, went to Ocean Park where all our favourite animals are (pandas, sea lions, dolphins...), dear had his fair share of cable car rides, did more walking, shopped alot, laughed alot (as usual)...

We even went on our short adventure of finding 'Shelley Street' (ahem... my street) at Central (中环) and capture some memorable photos at Tin Hau (天后) Station (because dear dear so love the song 下一站天后 by Twins). FYI, the stop before Tin Hau Station is Causeway Bay (铜锣湾). So the song actually takes place between the two stations?? Nevermind... haha...

One thing I felt alot is that lifestyle over at Hong Kong is at an even faster pace than Singapore. It is so evident from the pace people walk. They always seem to be in a hurry, in the day or late at night or even on weekends. It's actually pretty interesting to find it stressful jus walking on the streets.

Now that we are back in Singapore, dear dear is missing Hong Kong so much. He is still speaking like a Hong Kong-er sometimes, and I still am imitating the MTR broadcaster once in a while. I guess we have no choice but to return to Hong Kong again when we can =).
