Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Lovely week!

It had been a few happy blissful days. I'm only back from my Korea trip with mummy and darling last Sunday. The trip was mixed up with fun, stress (from the desire of me to take care of mummy) and occasional frustrations. But now that we are back, I am beginning to savour the sweetness of the trip, the memories that we brought back with us, and of course the Kimchi-s and seaweed that flew back together. =P

Well, anyway the bliss that I mentioned came from simple things that are too small to make a fuss of, yet made me so happy, I just can't wait to share. First of all I met up with Jenny (finally finally) on Thursday evening. Chatting, we realised we hadn't meet up for over 2 years! Despite that, we were able to immediately hit off and talked like we've never missed each other's life at all. It made me feel really great. I mean, that's what friendship really is right? =)

Friday evening, Darling and I went to NUS for our jog. We've stopped for quite a number of weeks for various reasons, and decided to resume it also for several reasons. The top most, of course, is probably because dear's IPPT deadline is in a couple of weeks!! >.< The second reason topping the list is because we've came back fatter from the Korea trip and suddenly feel extra urge to cut back some calories. >.< I'm kind of determined to keep this jogging thing going, not so much to lose some weight (of course it still matters), but mainly to make sure we keep ourselves healthy! =) Went shopping with with my mummy yesterday afternoon. Had a really fun time at Tangs Orchard, looking through all the home-ware, handbags and shoes with my mum. I guess she too had a great time, looking at the loads of things she managed to sweep home. Well, I mean, GSS is a woman's paradise afterall. I didn't go home empty handed either... hyaak hyaak hyaak. I went for a second round of shopping with dear in the evening, after our dinner. I can't really say I bought alot of stuff, but I did managed to buy a Nike singlet at discounted price, and EYEBALL-ed several items that I would definitely go back before the end of the month to purchase. Muahahah....... This morning started with me and my mum suddenly becoming gardeners, clearing up our gardern, mowing and cropping the lawn. Then we prepared our light lunch which comprises of nothing spectacular. Just plain porridge with side dishes like salted duck eggs, preserved mushroom, preserved fish with 'mui chai', and some kimchi style squid (from korea of course). It was just a simple fare, but I really treasure the time with my mum and younger brother. Then not long after, after taking a short nap, my mum and I had to start preparing for dinner. It was to be a sumptuous meal to celebrate Fathers' day. We went to get a roast duck and some roasted pork meat, then were back in no time to prepare for my mum's Asam fish, broccoli with prawns, my top shell with chilli, and grilled scallop seasoned with lemon rind and juice, pepper and chilli padi. Last but not least, there was my mum's Fish maw soup, topped with abalone and dried scallop! It was a busy and hectic 3-hour preparation, but it was so much fun doing things with my mum. I could learn from her, listen to her, chat with her... Though my weekend was really short and is coming to an end, it had been a really wonderful one. Times spent with loved ones are indeed memorable and heartwarming, regardless of the length, regardless of what we do. =)
