Brrr... the weather is so cold and rainy with all the strong winds blowing into my room, I feel like snuggling back into my bed, under my comforter. Spent the most of my afternoon (morning was gone, since I slept through it... pff pff pff) packing my room. It used to be a once a year thing. Something that I only would do during the lunar new year season's spring cleaning. But I'm not sure when I started to store up rubbish at a rate faster than before. Moreover, I've decided I want to 'zhng' my room a little, so packing became imminent.
My room is rather big, but space utilisation and the layout of furniture wasn't very well planned when we moved into this place almost 11 years ago. Also, being still a kid then, there wasn't much decision you can make without your parents telling you in multiple ways how your suggestions won't work out. After much procrastination, I've finally gathered enough energy to overcome my 'inertia'. =P First stage would be the planning and the measuring of all necessary dimensions. Then would be reconnoitring for suitable furnitures to replace the old. Then comes the 'zhng-ing' part. I'm so excited!
Darling bought me tickets for Jeff Cheung's (张信哲) concert! I've mentioned it to him once of my desire to go for the concert, but since there weren't any further response from him, I thought we won't be going afterall. What a nice surprise... thx dear! Hee hee hee.....
It's kind of amusing that when people were getting hyped up by the young and famous Jay Chou, who was in town last week for his world tour concert, we were here being hyped about this 'uncle' in his mid-forties. I've been listening to his songs from young. I mean, I haven't realised it earlier, but I'm able to recognise almost all his songs! My uncle used to have many of his CDs and cassette tapes. I used to sit in front of his Hi-fi set, listening to every single song, going through all the lyrics and singing along. This 'uncle' even contributed in helping me top the class in one of my chinese test in secondary 4! Frankly, my chinese those days was already kind of better compared to most classmates/ schoolmates, since I came from a chinese speaking family, and most of my friends were kind of 'kentang'. But we were told to fill in this certain word in the test that wasn't taught in class (or I can't remember it being taught). I went through all the lyrics of Jeff Cheung in my brain and managed to pen it down. What I'm trying to say is that the impact that Jeff Cheung had in my life is actually greater than I thought it to be. So I'm really glad that we would be going to his concert (since I think he won't be back again in the near future) and is really looking forward very much to 14th August. =)
Dear and I went to catch the fireworks from the National Day rehearsal last night. We went with the intention for dear to capture some pretty moments with his D90 and for me to 'wow!' at the fireworks. But we were a bit late... opps.... We missed the first round of blast and reached halfway through the final. Dear only managed to capture a few of the last glamorous trails of the fireworks. In the rush some of the photos he took turned out to look like views of cosmic rays in the universe..... lol. Nevertheless, the location we were at was fantastic. The fireworks were blasting right in above us, into our faces. It was a short yet lovingly beautiful, captivating moment. And of course, the company was perfect! =)
Lastly, I need to mention this. I finally managed to muster up enough courage to open the bottle of corn juice darling bought from Guiyang on his last business trip. It's thick, yellow, and corny. My brother tasted a sip of it. His reaction was 'yucks!!!' And he had to swallow down lotsa water to clear his mouth of the taste. hahaha. When I first tasted it, it was kind of fine. Just mild, a little odd and very corny.. But I think after dranking half a bottle, the oddness of the taste began to get to me. The remaining half is residing in my mug, sitting at my desk. Think I'm gonna pour it away later. No offense dear dear...... lol =P
