Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Weekend~~

I'm on medical leave today... Down with a flu and had been sleeping for the most of the day 'cos the medicine I took is making me feeling sludgy.. haha..

Started feeling unwell since Friday when I woke up with a terrible sore throat. On Saturday when I was bending down to get my wallet when paying at a cashier for drinks, I felt something trickling down from my nose. I thought I was having a running nose so I casually used my finger to rub my nose. It turned out I was having a nose bleed!! I grabbed tissue from my bag and held it to my nose, single-handedly paid the cashier hoping she didn't realise the massive amount of blood flowing out from my nose (it would have freaked her out), grabbed my stuff and dashed to the washroom to clean up. The bleeding wouldn't stop for a while and I kind of panicked. It didn't help that a lady in the washroom kept staring at me and my handful of bloddy tissue while I was bleeding myself to death~~ =S So I ended up locking myself in a cubicle to clean up the mess..
Then on Sunday, I came down with a real running nose and that kind of led to a flu. Was sneezing alot at dear's place... so paiseh... with his mum around and stuff.

Nevertheless, I had quite a weekend. Shopped a little with dear at Jurong Point on Friday evening, had a light snack of Shilin's huge pork chicken chop (wad's the difference anyway?!) and oyster mee sua which turned out to be dinner, and headed to the Market Place at Raffles City for supermarket shopping. It's kind of our favourite place 'cos it sells lotsa odd imported stuff that we haven't seen before..

My family room was also refurbished with additions of a new sofa set, coffee table, TV shelf and a huge 42" TV set which was delivered Saturday afternoon. The room transformed from a bare empty space that had laid there since 1999 to a cosy spot where all can gather, be it nua-ing on the sofa or watching TV, all thanks to my brother for coercing my mum to get down to revamp the place. I need to also thank dear dear for coming down and spending the whole afternoon to help out when the deliverymen came..

We had a midnight show on Saturday (watched 'Confessions of a Shoppaholic') 'cos we couldn't catch the earlier slots. It was my first midnight show ever~~ Yea I've watched shows that ENDED close to midnight but not one that STARTED at midnight.. haha.. it was really fun.. It's interesting to see the shopping mall still alive with people at 2 in the morning.. =) Oh btw, dear and I went down to Raffles City, Marina Square etc, wanting to witness the Earth Hour lights off thing, but dun have lei~~~ So disappointed.. But the streets did look a bit dim that day. Think they turned off SOME lights... sigh~~
