Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

WeekEnd

It was a really packed but enjoyable weekend for me. Had Vacational Training Programme (VTP) held by the Navs on Friday night. Stayed over at the Nav HQ Dormitory to continue with work project the following day. (stayed over even though the HQ is just a stone throw from my house -- and I mean a stone throw. The stone might really have reached the HQ if I threw one. It's just behind the girls' hostel opposite my house.) The place was really comfortable. For the first time I slept really well during a sleepover. Up to the extent that I wasn't the first one to wake up and was really wishing that I could be the last. Work project actually meant to help with window cleaning and arrangement of their book stocks. It was a little tiring but I had a real good time fellowship-ing with the Navs.

Left the HQ early in the afternoon (though the activity was to end in the evening) 'cos Jenny was to come to my house for violin practice. No doubt I had another few hours of great fun. =)

Watched Mission Impossible III yesterday(finally) after service and a practice session. It wasn't too bad. I was planning to watch X-Men III within these 2 weeks too, but according to my brother, the show isn't great. It seemed that in order to end the series, they killed off several characters in the show like Professor Xavier etc...

Hmm... Plans changed for Wednesday's movie outing with the Navs. They booked tickets for the Da Vinci Code instead of Over the Hedge, since most people are more interested in the former. Well I don't mind either, I just like to go for movies. Hee!

Heard something interesting from one of the Navs during the sleepover cum work project thing. 'Leonardo da Vinci' wasn't the full name of the famous painter/ engineer/ architect/ anatomist/ sculptor/ inventor/ geometer/ musician/ whatever. 'Da Vinci' supposedly was referring to his place of resident. His full birth name was "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, son of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci". (information from wikipedia)
So for me, it would be 'Shelley Da Telok Kurau'. (quoting from the Nav who brought up this topic) HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Do take time to go through the link below to clear some 'misunderstandings' that the controversial hot-selling novel/movie have for Christianity:
