Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

What The...

Oh my gosh! Last night, at least 2 thieves entered my house compound and stole my brother's bike (bicycle... driven by dynamo. Not motorbike). What's more they discarded an old, dirty bike in front of our gates, seemingly replaced by my brother's.
My mum called the police this morning. Besides the point that the bike was quite expensive, the thought of someone climbing into our compounds when we're dead asleep was horrifying.
According to mum, the police came shortly a little before 7, after she called them. They said that they were involved in a police catch thief thing late last night when a condominium further down our street reported of 2 thieves entering their compound. One of the thieves were caught and they said that he's a drug addict. (Sounds like something out of some drama serial) but the other escaped. I think they had a bike. Maybe that's my brother's.

All along, though there were lots of news on thieves and stuff, I really hold on to the belief that people should not and will not take what are not rightfully theirs. So when I heard about all these, I was really shocked and disturbed. I really cannot understand why such things happen. To us, maybe it was not too much of a loss, but what about others? You see from news that people robbed from the elderly, sneak into other's homes to steal large amounts of cash and jewellery...

Sigh... Anyway, was wondering why I did not hear anything last night (my room is the closest to the gates). If it happened during my exam period I am sure I will be able to detect it. Maybe the thieves won't even have the guts to linger in front of our house --- My bedroom lights would be on, my radio would be blasting off all through the night.. =P
