Ponders

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31

Blah blah blah...

Every Mondays are days for lamenting the good old weekends that passed by. It's tough not to. Weekends come by hard yet fly through too quickly.

Thursday was course day. Was at a technical report writing course at ulu, inaccessible NTU Alumni Executive Centre. It's not supposed to be ulu and inaccessible, 'cos it's at buona vista, visibly visible from the train along the EW line. But, being NTU, it managed to outdo itself by building itself on yet another ulu and inaccessible hill. It took me more than 20 minutes to get from the train station to the bottom of the hill, figure out how I can climb up the hill without going through the zig-zag upward park path, climb up an extremely long flight of steps to the top of the hill, realising I need to go downslope again to get to the lift leading to the classroom, before I was able to make it for lessons... I told my mum about it and she was commenting why NTU is always built on hills.. Yeah.. I too wonder.
Met up with dear dear at the esplanade outdoor theatre (I suggested it... so proud of myself). They kind of finished the revamping. One Fullerton is finally visible again. We sat there for awhile till sundown. The sight was soooo pretty.....~*

Friday, dear dear finally's got his LCD TV replaced. 1 microscopically unseenable dead pixel for 3 microscopically more unseenable inactive pixels. Well, he's happy... not. He's still bugged by the unseen presence of the 3 bright spots lurking behind his screen whenever he's watching his shows. Sigh... *shakes head* Shouldn't have told him about them... (hee.. I spotted those spots)

Saturday was rotting day. Again, we went to TCC @ Circular road, but not after a strenuous, mind-boggling, physically exhausting yet kind of fun window shopping exercise.. hee.. The place's really cool, with bean bags, small round colourful stools, low coffee tables and dim lights. I think I'm falling in love with it. Before long, I will be getting so comfortable and find myself rolling on the floor.
We left TCC only to realise it was raining kitties and doggies outside. We stood around waiting for the rain to stop but it didn't. So we walked/ ran to McDonald's to wait out the rain and to settle our dinner. The rain got to a drizzle when we left, but started pouring again whilst we were walking... (0_O) We walked/ ran to take shelter at the plaza of UOB building. Here's the dumb/ funny/ cute? part.. we waited at the REAR of the building (the side facing boat quay) in hope that the rain would stop, but yeap it didn't. It got heavier instead. It was getting late so we 'risked' getting wetter and walked/ran from one small and tiny covered walkway to the next small and tiny covered walkway bent on getting to the train station entrance, getting wet in the process, of course. After our little quest, we found ourselves IN FRONT of UOB building, which we could have gotten there without getting wet if we walked across it's plaza instead of going around it. And TADA!!! The train station entrance is at the plaza of UOB building!!! Really laughed ourselves silly at the extent of our silliness. Haha =P

Sunday was mooncake shopping day. I didn't know it's so tiring to buy mooncakes. Lesson learnt: NEVER buy mooncakes one week before Mid-Autumn Festival. You won't get anything except the piggy in basket.
